That was so weird from England.

You have the number 11 batsman in, plenty of runs on the board and noone wants to bowl. WTF are they scared of? Do they not want to take the final wicket or something?

Nowt. You can criticise the decision to bowl him when he did as much as you want, but Anderson had just bowled a 13 over spell and it was a two and a half hour session. It's nigh on impossible to get through a session that long with just three bowlers, especially when the spinner hasn't been bowling all of the overs form one end because of the new ball.

It's different after a break, it'll be two of Broad, Swann and Anderson, depending on Anderson's fitness.

i've been ridiculously superstitious and haven't left this thread, is this the first occurance of two 50 run 10th wicket partnerships by one team in a single match in test cricket?

Totally bizarre

Highly unlikely to lose the game in that over but could very well have won it

Almost as if they were more nervous than the batsmen and wanted to get into the sheds to settle down

Broad had only bowled 4 overs in the session when they brought Finn on
