Root could trouble Cowan IMO. The sort of bowler that he'll fancy his chances to cut for four but could easily edge it to Prior.

In saying that though, I'm slightly more confident as these two would have had a fair bit of practice against spinners like Root in county cricket.

smith's on debut so that's kinda understandable. maybe give smith a couple of overs after today's play just to give him something to take home
