The bowling scorecard a great advert for watching v stats given that Pattinson has been so much better than Starc

So 311 to win it is. Took the last two or three wickets relatively quickly today, but the damage was done yesterday i guess. Now its time to see whether the batsmen can stand up and at least give it a good go

Weird, but we just had a proper day and a bit if test cricket. Tidy, probing bowling and dogged, determined batting

There's no draw here unless it rains. Too much time left. Got to see Anderson's first spell off. If they do that they're some chance.

I don't think Root should have opened, still think he should bat at 6, mainly because JB isn't there yet. Yet blimey talk about an over-reaction, he scored some runs in the first innings and was strangled in the second.

He has no obvious technical difficulties, and like most good players seems to have all the time in the world to bat.

Anyway ignoring this point, because lets face it, it's just same ol', same ol' from that poster, game on, now, fascinating to see how this goes.

bit of swing, bit of spin, but all slow.

311 for victory. Should be an enthralling chase at the very least. Still well in our hands.
