Think Australia should definitely keep these two on for a while here with the old ball. Watson shaping it back into Prior could cause trouble.

109/5. Prior and Bell.

IMO Bairstow poked at that, loose defence. Good ball but more bad batting than good bowling for that.

Wade would've dropped that ftr
My thoughts exactly. I mean Wade might have juggled it or something, but its nice to have someone a bit more capable against the spinner behind the stumps. Australia have actually caught very well this Test so far.

Go away JB, I think we can call the Root for Compo thing a failure now. Weakened us at opener, and massively at 6.

Bell will never get a better chance to get rid of his 'bottler' tag than right now. It's a shame I have absolutely no confidence in him though.

Wonder how Prior will play here considering his rash dismissal in the first innings
He'll play his natural game. Whether he executes it any better is the issue, I suppose.

But this is the last chance saloon for England now. One more in the next few overs and we're toast. Which perhaps is fair enough given some of the crap that's been written and said before the series started.

It is one test. Can't say Compton is a better opener than Root from this evidence.

Bairstow at 6 is a huge worry though I will admit.

Agreed, especially considering Root being sawn off in the second innings and getting an absolute gem in the first.

But we made this mess for ourselves by having Root and Compton both bat out of position in India.
