As a reminder, Monk's OP was;

Each day I will put each participant's name in to a randomiser, and the order they come out in determines which nation each participant gets to choose from that particular day. Each participant chooses any player who has played at least one test for that nation. The round closes when I randomise the next round (at least 24 hours). If someone hasn't chosen by the time I post the next round, they must wait until the completion of the draft to choose from players unselected from the particular nation they missed.

England
Australia
South Africa
West Indies
New Zealand
India
Pakistan
Sri Lanka
Zimbabwe
Bangladesh

Note- It's obviously possible that you might choose multiple times from Bangladesh. Conversely, it's also possible you'll choose multiple times from Aust or Eng.

Draft will be completed in 12 days once participants are finalised. Participants only need to be able to log on and select once every 24 hours.

Post if keen.

Post Script: Later in the Draft it was decided that any player could be selected for Round 12 (randomised).
THERE ARE 10 TEAMS LISTED - PLEASE CHOOSE 3 TEAMS THAT YOU CONSIDER TO BE THE STRONGEST - THAT IS, THE 3 MOST LIKELY TEAMS TO COME OUT ON TOP AFTER A HEAD-TO-HEAD TEST MATCH CONTEST;

Note:
Tatenda Taibu = Keeper and Right-hand bat
Murray Goodwin = Right-hand bat
Paul Strang = Allrounder/Legbreak googly
Tamim Iqbal = Left-hand bat
Robiul Islam = Right-arm fast-medium
Shahriar Nafees = Left-hand bat
Shakib Al Hasan = Allrounder/Slow left-arm orthodox
Khaled Mashud = Keeper and Right-hand bat
Mushfiqur Rahim = Keeper and Right-hand bat

Good luck to everyone! And MANY THANKS to Monk for setting-up, and running the Draft. Excellent job as usual.

(If the contestants would like any last-last minute changes, or if I've made a silly typo, then please feel free to say so - Watson)

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't vote Monk. Especially as you watched the whole thing happen behind the scenes.

Pothas and BeeGee streaks ahead. Voted for me after that because I'm a rebel.

Reckon it says something that Watson felt he needed to explain who current Test cricketers were to us :p

That list was more for my sake than anything else. I really should take more interest in current cricket outside Australia and England.

Incidently, as far as voting is concerned - teams Pothas and BeeGee were too hard to ignore. HonestB, Howe, and Andy were more-or-less equal third. HonestB because of his bowling attack, Howe because his batting was awesome, and Andy because he had compensated very cleverly for his two weaker players.

But as everyone knows, I do like an eclectic bowling attack so I went for HonestB. Murray Goodwin also looks OK sandwiched as he is between Lara and Flower. And I'm a Lara fan......

Whatever it takes!!!
BeeGee was a no brainer.. Went for Howie as two other line ups were pretty good but they didn't hava a spinner.. And went with Morgie.. I dont like to vote for myself too :) Thanks for everyone who has voted and thanks esp. for the ones who voted for me :)

Was interested to see if people thought Barnes was a spinner, lot of the talk about him on here of late has suggested people think he was. Was one of the reasons I didn't pick another one.

It's difficult to judge, but from what I read Barnes was a finger-spinner (mainly leg-break, some off-break) who bowled at medium pace. However, it is safe to assume that when he opened the bowling he would bowl faster than usual and rely on swing to take his wickets. But as the ball got older, slow his pace down and allow the ball to spin more. With Barnes you get the best of both worlds because of the rotation imparted on the ball, and the extra bounce off the pitch due to his height and fast up-right action - and all with excruciating accuracy.

Incidently, when you set up a Voting Thread the set-up asks for a time frame - I selected a week as this seems to be a traditional amount of time for voting.

Therefore, there is about one more day left to vote!
