I think that last catch steyn took was exceptional. Ball went high and came down with some rain.

What a player.

Finally soke fortune for SA usually duckworth and lewis bends us over for a jolly ol' time

Yeah, it's just bad luck. If the rain had come one ball earlier...

Another exciting game ruined by rain
The rain is what made it dramatic. Instead of edge of the seat stuff the last 5 overs it was the whole match because every minute mattered.

Nah, being 40 off 25 made it dramatic. Duckworth lewis while being a necessary evil doesn't add anything except a hefty slice of luck.

Having a close game decided by rain and ball to ball D/L calculations may be dramatic, but it's not exciting.

Even the first five overs mattered, because if it started raining the windies knew they were knocked out by a no result. so in context of the tournament every single over mattered.

I admit that it is unfortunate that rain can decide the outcome of a match, but rain made this tie specially dramatic.

I think it is exciting knowing that they could be going off at any time. But it's sad because it involves a lot of luck. Go off a ball earlier, West Indies are through, go off a couple of balls later, maybe West Indies are through as well, but because they went off that exact ball South Africa went through.

That's some national anthem, the Pakistan one. Sounds like the triumphant final score of a west end musical.

India's is very understated by comparison, and appears to have been sung by a six-year-old. If you heard it playing in a nearby house you'd worry that house is haunted.

The performance of the Indian team here seems to bring back memories of Sanjeev Bhaskar's "Everything comes from India" sketch on Goodness Gracious Me- he would point to the scorecards and say Cardiff is an Indian city and The Oval is an Indian ground!

Looked way too high live. Loved Jams face.

chill out in the box. he's bowled quicker before but 134kph isn't extreme pace.

Good wicket there. Why is every Indian medium pacer called Kumar?

It's getting close to the Australian obsession with Mitchell.
