That is an embarrassing decision. Was evidently out. Typical Aussies really, an Englishman would have walked.

Nah, starting to feel sorry for Mitch tbh, wouldn't have wanted to see him run out without facing a ball.

You lot are bullies.

Tough one for MOTM this. Jimmeh might get it for breaking the record, bres for all-round effort, probably Bell though. I'd give it to Ravi just to annoy Scaly.

Bresnan for mine. Part of a really good unbeaten partnership to get England to a score approaching par, then broke two developing top order partnerships in Australia's innings including the dismissal of Australia's best batsman. Went at less than four an over too. Can't ask for more.

Looking at that Aus side there inst a single player that I would rate over 'good' - Watson fans may disagree. However, ODIs or Tests, I can't think of an Aus side, other than this one, that doesn't have at least one special player. Dramatic conclusion on the table - worst Australian side ever?

Watson's been a role player at best throughout his Test career but he's definitely a special ODI player IMO.

Starc had (to dust off a chestnut) a bad day at the office, but still think he's gonna be a special ODI bowler.

Take the 99 WC side. The only person Watson would replace is Moody - batting low down and bowling a few overs. In 2003 he possibly would take Symonds' job. Outside of that he is SOOL. For a nation that has produced so much special talent, for Watson to be the shining light is a huge decline. Nothing against Watson but the talent just isn't there - I say that as an Englishman who holds Australians to higher standards than the rest given their ability to produce exceptional players.

Edit - I guess what I mean to say is that Watson isn't special compared to the standards I set for Australian cricket. The rest are not even close.

Almost prosaic in the end.

Please don't make me start to feel sorry for you, Australia. You're better than that.
