Whatever it takes!!!
And Nuf, how about this for R12? You can select players off the banned list but the one you nominate goes into the list of players you cannot pick. So, for instance, assume I pick Sir Garry Sobers in R12 even though he is on the banned players list.. But if say KK nominates Sir Garry as HIS banned player for this round, then I don't get him. But if none of them do, then I do get him.

If this is what you originally suggested, I am sorry I misunderstood your post. If not, consider this idea. :)

Happy to have extracted myself from that quagmire with a last throw of the dice still to come.

Spikey wins this round by a small margin I think - great captain, great opener, and one of the best No.3s of all time. But then again, Warne, and Greenidge are very big coups!

HB, your idea has merit but I would like to see different names being chosen so with that in mind...

Question 12.1 Select any Cricketer who has not been chosen yet. The cricketer can not be on the selected player list or the banned list. As mentioned before you also have 1 opportunity to select a player that you want added to the banned list which could screw up your competitors plans. Please email me that player along with your chosen player that you want in your team. So please make it clear by going something like Round 12 pick "xxxx" Banned player "yyyy'.

I don't mind if you don't mention your teams yet btw. I just don't expect everyone to log on post their teams before selecting a player this round. FTR Spikey's 3 selections are very good but I also really like Fred's.

I'm looking forward to seeing what banned players get nominated.

Just to clarify...for the last round we select a player for ourselves, but also a player who we'd like to knock out?

And can the player be anyone unselected so far, or does it have to be someone from the banned list?

NUFAN

1. Yes.
2. Any Cricketer from outside the selected players list and banned list.

hmm I guess Ranatunga for round 9 was pretty good, considering the other players picked. I thought it'd be middle of the road

Not sure whether to replace O'Sullivan or Mortaza. also not sure whether to give the gloves to Kanhai or Burge.

Waugh and Mohammad can bowl a bit of spin and Ranatunga a few overs of slow medium so if you pick a decent bowler now your 4th and 5th bowling options should be decent enough with the 3 part timers and one of O'Sullivan and Mortaza.

Rohan Kanhai must bat at No.3 because of his plus 50 average in that position.

Bill Ponsford started his career batting at No.5 for Victoria, and scored his first quadruple century in that position. So he is obviously quite at home in the middle-order.

Therefore IMO;

3. Kanhai
4. Waugh
5. Ponsford
