Ah joy, first pointless ODI of the season.

And look, Finn is rested for the first game he actually *should* be playing in.

But nothing quite tops it off like the sight of Turdbach in the starting eleven. Oh ****ing yes.

And no he shouldn't be used as rotation because there are literally dozens of better options in County Cricket who might not be as insanely ****ing ****e as him.

Apparently Broad and Finn are injured - unless that's being used as a new euphamism for informed player management, which wouldn't surprise me

Agree with you totally on this one, would rather Luke Wright was brought in as a bowler, it's just insane.

Oh and very worrying about Finn & especially Broad, maybe a reason why the follow-on was not enforced, if they were struggling.

Mitchell McClenaghan

This is close to our strongest side I think. Swap Elliot or Franklin for Watling or Latham, and Nathan McCullum for Vettori and it's looking pretty good.

Dernbach isn't my personal preference either but as he is in this squad then it makes sense to use him.

Safe to say that Vettori won't ever play for New Zealand again.

He's like that hot chick you ****ed once, and she keeps hinting that you're going to meet again, but always makes up some excuse not to. A real ****-tease is Vettori.

Already confirmed Ronchi will struggle mightily with the swing open. Might get some nice ramps away off Dernbach perhaps.

I;ve got a good idea - my bowler is swinging it in to the right hander so I won't have a fine leg.

It's just so weird.

McCullum is a better batsman. Open with him, if Ronchi is needed he can do the finishing.

Why put unneeded pressure on the middle order?

Oh turns out this is a day game - whoda thunk. Also wtf, are we playing the England firefighting union?

I looked at our XI and thought it looked better than usual; I guess that's the Ellis factor

I prefer it to the blue TBH, could take some getting used too, ideally I'd prefer them to go for predominantly white with trims, not only keeping the tradition of white clothing, but being similar to other sports shirts, and being different.

Does look fairly good, though lacks finishing batsmen at 6/7/8, which has been one of our weaknesses in recent times. Instead we have three bits and pieces players forming the Axis of Mediocrity down there. Suggest send McCullum or Ronchi down the order.

That was a woeful effort on the boundary from Mills.
