Don't forget Burgey has also seen WG Grace in action.that'd be burgey, he was instrumental in the change from curved bats to the straight ones which are used today too

Love me cricket me; 30-odd years and counting. Live in England, born in Wales.
Not one for joining any old forum, so please be nice.
Thoughts about which I'll verbally spew out in the forthcoming:
Sir Geoffrey of Boycott, The Cricket Paper, Lord Blowers, Mike Simkins, collecting Wisdens, John (not Jonathan) Agnew .............and a whole other plethora of bile in which to razzle and dazzle.
Nice one.

BIB, whens your England call-up dueNew here so thought I'd post and see how everyone is!
My name's Jason and I currently live in Ringwood (Near Bournemouth), South of England. I am 20 years old and been playing cricket competitively since I was 7.
I was born in South Africa and lived there till I was 6, and with my family being very sporty, learned to catch and throw before I can even remember.
Played u10-u14s for Dorset County and u10-u16 for East Dorset before back injury took the better of me and I gave up the game for a few years and hit the gym.
Thankfully, my best friend plays for the first XI of the local team and asked me to come along to a net session with him. After facing my first ball, I knew I had to get back into cricket.
Trained hard during the winter with his team and jumped back into this at the beginning of last season... Having the experience I've had they chucked me straight into the First XI and I had to pick things up again pretty quickly.
After a few bad scores at number 6, and opening the bowling, I asked to stop the bowling and bat 3 (my old role). This worked. The last three games of the season I scored consistent 50's and saved the team from being relegated.
This season, we've had one Saturday game (45 overs) and a Wednesday game (12 overs), and my role as a no3. proved handy after scoring 117* and 107*.
Anyway, enough about that.. I'm also a Trainee Accountant and love online gaming (I'm a nerd at heart).
Hahaa, doubt that's ever going to happen! Had my chance early on in my career but unfortunately injury ruined it.. Oh well, hopefully I'll be seeing a few of my old team mates in the England rankings soon enough!BIB, whens your England call-up due
