Or maybe Boult's injury was related to the lack of rest he got between finishing off England in the morning and bowling again in the afternoon. Our bowlers must miss getting a nice day to put their feet up occasionally. Though I suppose they still get plenty of those when we lose in 3 and a half days.

Random emotions in no particular order
a) Its starting to wear thin.
b) At least at home we aren't as bad I guess.
c) England at home in May were always going to be tough.

some of the younger NZ posters may know more than me. According to my team mates there were 4 times as many junior teams in the 1980s for my club side.

However - cricket is still popular just based on the number of kids teams I see using our pitch on a Saturday before I take the field.

Under 14s would be alright. It's actually later on that we lose the top quality athletes to rugby.

Why couldn't Trott have batted like this yesterday instead of boring the pants off everyone?
