Yeah, the gulf between Somersets one-day batting, and the batting in the real stuff is truly massive.

Still, just hope this season they stay up, and win some kind of one-day trophy.

Yeah, anywhere in the top 7 in the Championship and one day silverware would be a great season for Somerset IMO. As I said earlier in the thread, I think they're at a bit of a crossroads though, and it'll be a testing couple of seasons for them.

Hampshire rather similar, excellent win and brilliant from Dawson at the end.

I know Carberry has no chance of making the England side but his pro40 form has been fantastic in the last year.

Derby lost again.
It wouldn't be Derby if they didn't. Only Derbyshire could have a player score 270* carrying his bat in the first innings - and still lose.

I'm only relieved that they have already managed to beat Derby County's 11 points in the Premier League from a few years back.

few injuries bubbling away. Benkenstein has torn his rotator cuff and looks to be out for a good long period. Rushworth is rested/dropped tomorrow for Durham but Onions is back playing. Murtagh is away with Ireland this week so won't be playing for Middlesex against durham.

Joyce is also away with Ireland but Luke Wright is back from the IPL for Sussex.

Horton for Lancashire having a finger op and out for 6 weeks. Some others that I can't remember.

Some turn around by Essex in the 2nd division. Into 2nd now and Ten Doeschate is back tomorrow also. Been impressed by Westley as a batsman. Hope he continuues to develop.

Somerset struggling again. Need Tres to find some form. Compton should be back after this week for a while but lose this week and they could be competing with Surrey and Derbyshire at the bottom of the table.

****ing hell Somerset, is this some kind of sick joke.

Edit: Barrow ducked it some hopefully he'll be out on his arse as quickly as Gregory was.

Think today was the day I fully come to terms with the fact there's no disputing that I support Somerset more than Sussex these days. :(
