I've defended Finn before but FMD he does nothing to avert expectations does he

Reckon Compo will be on the rocks if he doesn't get runs here.

I thought Snicko isn't used as it's inconclusive. From those images, it looked like the ball was away from the bat at the time of the noise on Snicko. I guess it's not just bat on ball that can make noise, which is why hot spot is preferred.
The problem with snicko, is that the audio and the video have to be lined up manually - meaning there's a human element in it that could be prone to error. However, they're meant to be developing automatic real-time snicko that can be used for DRS. Not sure when it's going to be available though.

Awful morning from the looks of it, but one I was kinda expecting. We really need someone like Vettori to bolster that tail. England to be 204/2 at stumps.

Stand to be corrected on this, but I thought it wasn't used just because it takes too long to generate.......why we don't see it until sometime during the next over normally.

I don't think it is conclusive on it's own, but used in conjunction with the other technology I think its sound.

I've got no doubt that Cook nicked that, but there was clearly insufficient evidence to overturn the umps call.........that snicko footage though could have sealed it.

Who to replace him though? With Root in the middle order (and getting settled there), there's a dearth of opening options.

Sam Robson, for maximum Ashes lols?

I remember reading that snicko isn't used because the replay has to be attached to the graphic manually. So even setting it up is interpretive.

Might just be a theory though

Can't see them making any changes to the batting for the next Test, given that Pietersen won't be fit. It may well be something of a shoot-out between Compton and Bairstow though, subject to what happens in the rest of this match.

i dare you ****

also why does the link for that pic say legal high providers? youve reached that age where you want to legalise weed to **** the man haven't you?

Didn't even bother to look at the link, tbh. Just thought 'cloudy' was appropriate given that it's an English Test. Didn't realise it may have been referring to weed smoke.

Actually got asked that question last night, coincidentally enough. But that's a different discussion for a different thread.
