Broad finally pitches one up and it's a half volley.
Oh yeah, I have no sympathy, it is just funny.Knight would have a legitimate gripe if he wasn't a terrible Test commentator.
I was gonna comment that Broad's first overs, whilst not massively threatening, were actually quite good - but since then...Broad finally pitches one up and it's a half volley.
I don't expect many to agree but I actually don't mind Knight when he's doing the ODIs and the CB40 games. He's quite knowledgeable about the players on the county scene and his OD cricket nous is actually worth listening to at times because he takes the format a lot more seriously than the other Sky commentators. He's god awful in Tests though, no doubt.Oh yeah, I have no sympathy, it is just funny.
Yeah he was a good foil for Anderson's first spell.I was gonna comment that Broad's first overs, whilst not massively threatening, were actually quite good - but since then...
AgreedOdd sort of shot really, just a straight ball aimed at middle, but Taylor played all around it.
Yeah, I was just about to say that it has to be absolutely perfect for it to be LBW when it's turning that much, from that angle. It's why I'd like Swann to go around the wicket a bit more than he does.Honestly though, from that sort of line the only way you're gonna get out LBW if you're way back in your crease - it'll either hit outside or go down leg if you're forward at all. So lots of appeals and excitement but that doesn't mean you're likely to get out like that.
Swann puts a lot more on it when he bowls around the wicket too; pivots better and completes his action. It'd take the footmarks out of the equation though so I don't imagine he'll be doing it any time soon.Yeah, I was just about to say that it has to be absolutely perfect for it to be LBW when it's turning that much, from that angle. Footmarks mate, it's not India, he really needs to keep going over for mine.Yeah, I was just about to say that it has to be absolutely perfect for it to be LBW when it's turning that much, from that angle. It's why I'd like Swann to go around the wicket a bit more than he does.
