Nah, ****ing hate Wigan. ****ty little pretend football club with a Tory **** for a chairman. Man's such a **** he even wanted a minute's silence for that renowned friend of football Thatcher.

Sooner Whelan goes (more) senile, bankrupt or dies and nature take its course the better.

Martinez is a good man tho, but. Toffees could do worse.
Get out. Wigan are great, so much more fun than the majority of the teams down the bottom end of the table.

More racist gestures there from from Terry - getting a boot in the ribs.

Lampard equals the Chelsea record.

Why are there ****ing league matches on Cup Final Day...........why is Cup Final Day in mid season?

Hate the late kick-off more than anything. Which I suppose is something to do with TV rights.

Seems to be totally random whether the final happens after or before the last game of the league season too, unless I have missed something.

Yes Chelsea. Yes Lampard. The longer teams around us remain chaseable the better. Stay on 40 points you ****s.

Apparently the move to a 5.15pm ko last year added around 1million to the tv audience.

Perhaps, it somehow ruins the atmosphere for me though. It means also that the earliest the game can possibly finish is not until 7pm, which is just weird.

Benteke/Villa lost that from nowhere. Dammit.

Well done to Fat Frank, you fat legend. Fat.

I don't see why anyone cares about either in the slightest. A lot of footy fans just seem to get off on moaning about change.

I'm not particularly bothered about either, to be honest. I'd probably be more up for watching the final before the end of the league season, but not really sure why.

Won't lose sleep over the game being on after 5 either, but for some reason it makes me more disinclined to watch it, somehow. Something to do with nostalgically remembering it being at 3pm, I suppose.

Nah 5pm kick offs are a pain in general. Same with Prem and FL matches. Worse in this sort of case though as it limits the travel opportunities for fans, given both clubs are northern. Indicative of where the priority lies these days.

Yeah, rightly so though, why would you prioritise a handful of travelling fans over a million TV viewers? The 3pm kick-off never made much sense to me, clashes with huge swathes of amateur league games- especially odd since those clubs are handed out most of the tickets, so they're people the FA clearly give a **** about.

Likewise on all counts.

That being said, I can barely remember any individual finals since 1990, so it doesn't really matter that much to me either. Honourable exceptions being Owen's final (2001?) and the West Ham vs Liverpool encounter a few years later.

Because the Cup Final shouldn't, IMO, be about the money that the FA can make but the two clubs who have made the final. Prioritising TV viewers is exactly why groups like AMF are almost becoming mainstream.
