If the aim is uniformity then presumably it would be necessary to make adjustments to the size to take account of the bounce in the wicket, the speed of the outfield, and the altitude, to name but three - on the bright side it would give Messrs Duckworth and Lewis something to do

Are those two still allowed to make cricket policy? :p

Most cricket spectators and players don't care if there is some difference in ground size around the world, it's part of the unique characteristics each ground has.

I agree with the rope thing. Otherwise, weird thread. This isn't baseball. Home runs are not the primary way to score.
Yeah weird thread but weird to say this isn't baseball as the stadium sizes vary differently there.

I basically disagree with every new thread by Jacob.

All Cricket gounds should have same size. The minimum size under the current rule should be THE rule. (128.01m, 54.86m)
So the ugly mis hits should carry over the fence and unfit ****s can score without proper running between wickets?

Nah, 80m at least, and that will get those unfit ****s out of the LO game.

Now that Ranatunga has retired there aren't many left tbf.

Not that he would have played many games with the new 'no runners' policy.

Well, my post was a bit confusing.

128.01m is the total length from the boundary to boundary through the pitch.
54.86m is the length from the pitch centre to the boundary. So the total length is 109.72m.

I don't think a 2 year period works for home and away series because of the season overlapping and the inability to play cricket in some countries outside of a 4-5 month window.

Not to mention that the year is only really 9 months once the IPL and "champions" league butt in.

Cricket Law changes

In the case of no run in 1 over, the Batsman is out.

The width of wide ball should be same in Test and Limited-Over games.

The point of 6s should be increased to 7 or 8.

All fielders can wear Wicket-Keeper style glove.

Hogwash. Ranatunga was supremely fit in his youth, and it was the 96-99 period that every body tends to remember. FFS he had 14 years of cricket before that.
