Gary Lyon got grilled hard on Footy Classified.

LOL @ people expecting him to give up his multi-million dollar media contracts to "rescue" Melbourne.

Weirdest opinion.
You wouldn't call Brad Scott a happy bloke. I think Scott is a pretty intimidating guy at times.

You'd want him as your coach, backs his players to the hilt and speaks his mind. Even if "sour" is the wrong phrase, grumpy would be fair enough.

Not as grumpy as Mick mind you.

I can confirm that the AFL has passed the NRL for season attendances this year.

NRL: 40 matches. 708,243 spectators at an average of 17,706 people per game.
AFL: 18 matches. 716,603 spectators at an average of 39,811 people per games.

Early doors, but the battlers - Port, Dogs, Suns, GWS - seem much more competitive this year

Last year frankly, they were unwatchable

Makes for a much better comp

I also like how the Sunday schedule seems to be beefed up this year, with one of the matches of the round reserved for Sunday afternoon

ajdude's perfect round gives him a two point gap over the rest of the field. Long may it continue?
