In Chennai he bowled about 90% of his balls as yorkers!
Apparently not - 1st Test: India v Australia at Chennai, Feb 22-26, 2013 | Cricket Hawkeye | ESPN Cricinfo

You just haven't seen as much of him as people who follow Australian cricket have.
Yeah I haven't seen him much, besides whenever he played against India and a few spells here and there against SL.

Anyways, social was talking about other bowlers not creating pressure on the other end while my point was that it wasn't their fault he was (in your words) pitching the ball up and trying to swing the ball, just that he was unsuccessful and got taken for runs.

The only thing is I called it rubbish bowling because he's got nothing to fall back on and you said it's not..cbf arguing that.

nah gotta be haddin even if wade is fit, haddin plays as a batsman (PEWS will love this) and captains

I think considering it's most likely a dead rubber they'd be more inclined to go for a long term prospect. Whether that be Warner, Wade, Cowan

I don't understand this at all. Are they afraid of getting bowled out again? If they are, Dhoni is more pessimistic than me and should be sacked. If they aren't, then they are not pushing on purpose and trying to win, and Dhoni should be sacked

How does not getting runs today and just playing out overs, help India in anyway though ?

Edit - And finally....
They could end up 150+ ahead simply by playing this way

Chances are that it will be enough

Well, they seem to be hitting out now so moot point but not sure they were reaching a lead of 150 playing maidens.

Also, Australia will be able to get 150 atleast on the last day which leaves even less time if any for India to bat again. Why make it easier for Australia to save the match by eating up overs ?

Oz have 2 bowlers

As they have done all series, play out the quicks and the runs will come easily from the rest

BTW, India dont have to win this test, Australia do

India need to come out and try for 80 runs in 15 overs (or get out trying), and then declare. This run rate of 3 helps Australia, not India.
