Two questions then:

1) What's the code for the CW league on the DT?

2) Who's running the tipping this year? I CBF after last year.

Yeah, I think Metricon would have been better than nothing

The game has gone backwards here in the last couple of years, and this (an unexpected GF) would have been a real filip for the game here (particularly with no Broncos home game next week - AFL would have been on centre stage).

Presented a story on the Footy Show about players in trouble for merchandise, which blokes in the Herald Sun had written about as far back as December, and presented it as an exclusive.

Yeah just read that. Barrett looks like an upstanding citizen compared to Robbo.

Hutchy vs Robbo would be a battle royale.

Just gotta embrace Robbo for what he (it?) is.

Whereas Hutchy is a dead set flog, Robbo is just someone who doesn't know better. He kind of just did what he has done all the time and just climbed the footy media ladder by default. Its more amusing than tragic.

I don't see how the Herald Sun can go from someone like Mike Sheeehan, who for all his faults has the respect of the footy world and doesn't engage in long, bitter, public feuds... to Robbo, who is a bogan who has a big mouth and such a **** personality.

Herald Sun just finally playing to their target audience

Nah look I agree with you. Jon Ralph the best at the Herald Sun for mine.

Agree that John Ralph is good

Sam Edmund from the Herald is good value

Funny little guy

Rohan Connolly is right up there, from The Age

Connolly is hands down the best football writer in Australia IMO.
Yeah its not even a contest.

Prepared to tell everyone to suck eggs too. Tell The Age/Fairfax, tell his fellow media people etc. Calls everyone out.

Also likes Rage Against The Machine.

Other than being an Essendon fan, just a great bloke.

Absolutely; strikes the right balance between understanding what the trends are on the ground, with what is going on in the boardroom.

The worst thing that ever happened in football media was Caro getting a seat on the old "Talking Footy" on a Monday night. It gave a serious reception to the political machinations of football, which never really mattered to anyone, but it is the only thing that Caro can write about.
