This is a career-defining moment for Cowan. If he goes on with this and makes a big hundred it could finally cement his position in the side and launch him as a Test cricketer.

A lot of people have said he isn't good enough for Test cricket, and maybe that is true. But he has so consistently braved the tough times against the new ball before falling in the 20s and 30s that you feel maybe, just maybe, if he makes that one big knock he could turn the corner.

Who knows? That's the beauty of Test cricket, it's a truly unpredictable game :D

hayden actually made a good point before in regards to cowan, he seems unsure how to bat now that warners out. theres some truth in that as his role is so clearly defined when hes batting with warner he seems to struggle when he has to be the dominant batsmen scoring runs

Would not be surprised to see Oz beaten easily here as Ojha is nothing more than a roller and is turning it square

Hate to think what it is going to do on day 5

Wow that was awful from Hughes. In his/Australia's defence though they didn't have any other options really.

Are we bringing anyone else on tour to replace Watson?
