Also looking more and more like a pancake of a wicket. I don't think the toss mattered too much, 'cos I suspect the wicket will only get flatter. Unless NZ bat like clowns this could be another dull draw.Looking more and more like a diabolical decision from McCullum. The one wicket they did take was gifted to them.
We just haven't bowled well enough. This pitch is going to be just as good when we bat.Looking more and more like a diabolical decision from McCullum. The one wicket they did take was gifted to them.
Not so sure about that, it's just not swinging. Southee & Boult were hooping it around all over the place in the 2nd test in SL and it was late swing. Not sure it's a case of being toothless. After the promise in Sri Lanka seeing us bowling so toothlessly is a massive punch in the gut.
It may be good when we bat first time around, however the best chance to force a result in Wellington is the pitch taking turn late in the game and that advantage now lies in Panesar and England. I'm still a great believer in batting first in any test unless the pitch looks spectacularly fresh and green. We just haven't bowled well enough. This pitch is going to be just as good when we bat.
