When he screws his eyes up and purses his lips he more or less becomes all nose tho. It's not an attractive look.

Have to say if Martin ever turns one it must be more luck than judgement; hardly rips it out, does he? Just a gentle roller of the ball.

Still can't find a spinner that takes wickets in the second innings, can we? Vettori's become notoriously ineffective, and Martin seems to have started the same way.

Wouldn't be too harsh on Martin. First test and bowling on this pitch; you'd struggle to find a spinner to take a bag here.

Got some turn in the first innings though, iirc. Not massive but some.

Doesn't Southee usually operate well with a slow bowler at the other end too? Whenever Martin's on when I'm following Wagner has been at the other end.

We've seen him turn it a mile in domestix tbf. This pitch is just a road.
