Nah, look. Lyon wasn't good at all, but Doherty is the Wade of spinners at test level.Australian fans being slightly harsh on Doherty tbh. He could work if the next wicket is like this too or have some utility value. More than Lyon probably.
I think it's really unlikely India will bring in another #6 batsman after Dhoni just hit a double hundred at 6. The fact that Ashwin, Harbhajan and Kumar are at 8-10 and can all bat helps the team balance too; I don't think they'll be changing it. If there's a change I think it'll be Ojha in for Kumar; rest will stay the same. But I want to bat to 11 #NUFANstrategy
Come on HB. You should know the Chennai crowds better than everyone else. They are amongst the most sporting in the world and easily the most knowledgeable in this countryClarke got a great ovation for his 100, tbh.. Could just be a case of the crowd just waiting to celebrate the last wicket and going home happy and hence not caring about the batting at that point.
But tbf, since the IPL, the crowds in India are getting less sportive everywhere..
If the last series taught us anything it's that the home side don't really get to prepare pitches at all in India. They sort of get what they're givenIt'll be interesting the type of pitch prepared in Hyderabad (assuming the Test isn't canceled/shifted).
He was issued a show cause notice after he was deemed mentally unfit to play because he head butted and chest butted a batsman. Wasn't allowed to play the next game in the interim iirc.Batting order would be sweet if Praveen was fit and playing instead of Ishant.
edit: wait, is Praveen injured or suspended. Can't remember.
Comms highlighting how an Indian batsman plays spin well, like it's a rarity.
South Indian crowds are generally very sporting and appreciative. The rest.... another story entirelyCome on HB. You should know the Chennai crowds better than everyone else. They are amongst the most sporting in the world and easily the most knowledgeable in this country
This bloke for batting coach...great win by India aussies should need to learn to handle aswin and Indian spin attack to win the next test
We already tried that; it didn't work out very well and he stepped down to coach WA anyway to save us the hassle of sacking him. This bloke for batting coach...
I've found the same when travelling there, the people in the south are considerably friendlier.South Indian crowds are generally very sporting and appreciative. The rest.... another story entirely
