Yeah, that and reckon he'll just go better starting against pace in general these days.what do people think about clarke going up the order in these type of series?
I totally understand he's done his best work at 5, and you want to keep him where he's his most comfortable, but that's generally when he's coming in when the ball's stopped doing as much off the deck. In this type of situation where everyone is going to be starting against the spinners, and the pitch does nothing off the seam, seems like the ideal time for him to come in early with more time to bat, especially when we have a shortened batting lineup for him to work with.
It's because they're ****s, beasically.Well early observations from a neutral, why is Ojha not playing? Sehwag still can't catch so why bother sticking him at slip (may as well have a guy fielding there with shinpads on) and why when Watson comes out stick the pace man back on? Apart from that Dhoni has done well.
Australia need someone to go BIG here as it looks like batting will only get more difficult as the match goes on, unlikely to be Watson as he will throw it away once he has got past 50 so Warner needs to cash in on his lives and go massive.
One last thing why do the comms persist in talking about Our Ashwin like he is a favourite uncle, never hear them call them Our Dravid or Our Jadeja do you.
If he gets going then yeah, but I'm not sure about his "run in hard all day"-ability. Does he have the patience or plan B for flat and slow wickets?Jumping ahead a bit, any thoughts on how the bowling's going to go? Pattinson the most likely to rip through, I reckon. Depends on his much he's getting them, reckon we'll see lots of bowls/LBWs if he's really letting go.
Clarke might need to bowl a lot though as there might be naff all in the pitch for the pacemen.Jeezus that stayed low! Given the way other balls have leapt this pitch is already playing tricks. We are seriously lucky we won toss and won't have to bat last on this track.
Fit as a fiddle but has been injured of late so his spells will be limited that way.If he gets going then yeah, but I'm not sure about his "run in hard all day"-ability. Does he have the patience or plan B for flat and slow wickets?
his main threat was cowan and watson's running, so yeaheeez.
Considering the Aussie's spin play, backing Ashwin for all 10 right now.
Agreed, he has been in a form slump the last few years. Statsguru shows that since 2010 he's averaged just 1.7 insights per hour. Not good enough.why do overseas broadcasters keep on picking AB
