Canterbury really does have to do something about it's bowling attack. I realise they're missing a couple of bowlers but the likes of McCone and McEwan are just pudding at this level, no future whatsoever.
Nice. McEwan 5/20

Probably a fair bit of seam movement around I'd imagine.

de Grandhomme saving his FC career here with 81* - if he's not careful Hakaraia might push him out of that second allrounder spot when Munro returns.

So how much of a lead will we have by the end of the day?

That's a tastin'.

Good debut for Michael Barry although it would have been nice for him to kick on. A problem he has had throughout his career so far. It will be interesting to see how they fit Munro back in the side now.

Williamson's dismissal yesterday was awful. Even worse considering the circumstances of the match at the time.

I know it's partly the pitch, but does anyone else find it telling that a match featuring no fewer than 4 current test match batsmen and a couple of fringe players is looking likely to be finished by the end of day 2?

Throwback to a domestic pitch from early last decade probably. But even so, yes it would be good to see test players fighting it out and outscoring Fulton, Jarshall, Latham and Canterbury's number 11.
