With Hussey deciding that he'd rather ask questions to us viewers instead of asking questions of International bowling attacks, I can't believe that high profile batting experts (like Spikey's mate JL) believe that Maxwell or Steve Smith is the answer at number 6.

Losing our second best batsman means we are going to be weaker with our batting, so by not picking our best available batsman it just simply defies logic. Now working out who the best bat is rather tricky, but there is no way that either of the pair mentioned are currently the best.

We've been 3 for not many on a number of occasions, Clarke and um actually just Clarke needs the best help available.

Spikey its lame that you post quotes in your sig and don't cite them. It is extremely lame.

Mickey Arthur likes the big show. Loves that he brings alot to the table. He's got all the toys. Wants a squad that covers all the bases. So the upshot of Maxwell being selected is that O'Keefe can takes as many wkts as he likes in the shield and, assuming they wont go with 3 spinners, he wont tour. Whereas Maxwell who wont play any fc cricket could play tests over there. If he does then Wade is at 6. Watson may miss out except that he brings alot to the table and he's got all the toys. So he could open with Warner and Cowan gets benched bcos he's only a poor man's Simon Katich. Despite the fact Watson may not play a fc game before the tour but Cowan will. I'm starting to think Oz cricket is in a twilight zone. Like a passenger in a taxi and Mickey Arthur is the cigar smoking skeleton driving us all to hell.

You blokes had the better part of 2 tests against the no.1 side in a 3 match series, then smoked Sri Lanka 3-0. Stop worrying so much. Honestly don't see India winning this series.

It's not about beating India though. It's about beating India by a better margin than England.

meanwhile charlesworth goes bang. WAG

Charlesworth lamented that cricket was ''neanderthal'' in some areas, such as rotation and the depth of statistical analysis, compared with sports such as baseball. He commended his former teammate Inverarity for his much-derided emphasis on ''informed player management'', the term Inverarity prefers to rotation.

''There's a whole range of people in Australian cricket who don't think you need a coach. Either cricket's wrong or every other sport in the world's wrong,'' Charlesworth said.
''In baseball you manage your pitchers. In cricket you manage your fast bowlers I would've thought, and even the spin bowlers depending on what their loads are. To be fit for bowling you need to bowl - I have no problem with that - but how much is the issue.''
Even Lillee would need spell these days, says Charlesworth

that line is a keeper
