He was never gonna last the way he played. He's just a juiced up, left handed Hewitt with a bit more top spin. Was only ever a pretender compared with Federer. Federer is a Rolls Royce, Nadal was an 18 wheeler with lots of grunt but no class under the spivvy Latino hood. He's gone.

I don't like Hewitt, but fmd he has gotten some stiff first rounds at the Australian Open in recent years. Gonzalez, Nalbandian and Tipsarevic in the last 4-5 I think.

There's nothing new in tennis in week one of a Slam because for the most part it's so damn predictable.

Aussies bundled out after misleading lead ups, a couple of the women's seeds go out and the men just follow the form line. Why it's a boring sport for the most part.
