maybe for ODI's', not for test's.Misbah can stay for the time being but Younis has to go. We are carrying him.
We did win the series you know. I think having one bad match at your fierce rival's ground is not too devastating.lol Pakistan.
Paul Nixon alleges India-Pak Kotla ODI fixed : CricketnextWell, tbf Pakistan would rather take the word choke than the other more let's say controversial suggestions that are made when they do it.
Not really bothered by it. Just an award that doesn't mean much. You guys won the match so an Indian player should have got it.Btw, any one figured out who decided to give MOTM to Dhoni for captaincy when his captaincy is in question ?
Gavaskar seemed surprised on NDTV and Bhogle tweeted that it should have been Ajmal. Isn't it commentators that decide ?
What is India's objection to the UAE anyway?Don't think it's confirmed. Doubt it's happening since India won't play in Pak or UAE.
So when are they going to give up home matches then?Ironically match fixing being prominent there
If Aus wins in India maybe they'll start to think about doing exactly that.So when are they going to give up home matches then?
Sharjah was banned, not the whole of UAE IIRC.Don't think it's confirmed. Doubt it's happening since India won't play in Pak or UAE.
Very strange though that Indian government has banned the BCCI to play a series in UAE. Seems highly political and wouldn't it cause diplomatic issues with UAE.
PCB chief moots 'Ashes-like' series named after Gandhi, Jinnah - Times Of India"We have proposed that there be a Jinnah-Gandhi bilateral series where the two sides play every alternate year like the Ashes," Ashraf told TOI in an exclusive interaction. He said BCCI had taken note of the proposal and will soon respond.
Ashraf said PCB has given three proposals for resumption of full-fledged cricketing ties. "First, they come to Pakistan which at the moment may not be possible. Second is neutral venue which BCCI says is against its policy. So, we have given the third proposal that Pakistan play their own home series in India," he said. "For that we have offered to pay the stadium rent and hotel expenses like any host nation. The revenue will come to us like in the case of an Indian home series it will go to India," added Ashraf.
The last time the two teams played a Test series was in 2007-08 in India. The bilateral cricket ties, which were suspended after the Mumbai attacks, resumed with the ongoing series comprising two T20 games and three ODIs. "But we can't restrict ourselves to five matches. We need to take it forward," he said.
While he said that he had not taken up the issue of the participation of Pakistan players in IPL even casually with the Indian board, he said PCB's response would be very positive if any such offer came from the Indian side. "Pehle mezbaan bulaata hai. Aap ki khwaish honi chahiye. But if they ask us, we will surely give a very positive response," he said.
Well that's pretty weird in general, but I don't consider the UAE to be a neutral venue as such anyway. It's Pakistan's set of home venues now. Do they refuse to play in Cardiff? Bit different I know because it's the England and Wales Cricket Board now, but still. It'd be an away match for India and a home match for Pakistan AFAIC which is not a neutral venue.BCCI has a no series at a neutral venue policy and are reluctant to change that too.
