Boam's not even batting top 6 for the A side. That guy seems to get the raw prawn.
Yeah, such harsh treatment of Boam. If he batted 3 for Wellington I don't think it would be without merit, and yet look at what he's actually used as ffs.Boam's not even batting top 6 for the A side. That guy seems to get the raw prawn.
Yeah but #7 isn't exactly a specialist role in T20, so it's silly if that's why he's batting there. Deserved a proper chance to actually play an innings and show how good he was at this level; he could've ended up not getting a bat at all. Luckily for him Wellington A lost five wickets in the first ten overs but it's still absurd.Clearly looking to play Boam in T20 where we may actually use him in the next two weeks tbf.
The issue talked about with Boam I thought has been finding the fence from ball one with five men back.Yeah but #7 isn't exactly a specialist role in T20
But you have to pretty much do that in every spot below 3 in T20 though. If they batted him at 5 for that reason then okay, but 7? 7 doesn't even get a hit half the time. The issue talked about with Boam I thought has been finding the fence from ball one with five men back.
Well there's another T20 this afternoon, we'll see if Boam comes out in ~12th-16th if they can manage it.But you have to pretty much do that in every spot below 3 in T20 though. If they batted him at 5 for that reason then okay, but 7? 7 doesn't even get a hit half the time.
Actually gave it to these very players last January, with the bat and his leg-spin. The Home of CricketArchiveIt's funny. I always thought J McDougal was a bowler, and not a very good one at that. Seems bizarre to see him (via scorecards) hit a double ton.
