It is hard to find a place for him tbf. Mathews would probably be the one he could get in for, but given he's inline to be the next captain....

That is true of couse but I would do anything to get him in my SRL team. That obviously means one of Samaraweera (probably him as not vc) or Matthews had to go because I'm not sure if you want to burden him with keeping duties but he could go the AB route and then P.Jayawardene would be in trouble.

honest to god I'd love nothing more than a one wicket win chasing 150 odd, hussey there at the end 78* and bird lasting 30 odd deliveries for 0*

actually no I'd prefer a zingin double

Samarweera would probably be the one under pressure, if they didn't want to make him keep.

Thirimanne didn't play the first two tests either, it was 3-6 of Sanga, Mahela, Sama & Mathews.

Chandimal looks a better shout than Thilan on this evidence, particularly long-term. Was very impressive in SA last Christmas, too.

I think they'd rather play him as a specialist bat as PJ is the better keeper. I wouldn't stress too much about him not getting a go though. All of SL's current middle order warrant their sport but they're not young, Chandimal will get his chance soon enough, maybe even this year.

Sam did get two 100's in South Africa tbf. Probably still worthy of a place in the side IMO.

Nufan Pradeep did quite well just then.

Still can't fathom that a leading betting site didn't even bother putting a market up for this match before today's play.

BTW, I definitely don't want Huss to open, but if a wicket falls and we are say 30 runs from victory, I would move him up the order for sure. Tipping we'll end up being 3 down anyway in this chase.

That was so predictable after the boundary he hit and the conversation him and Chandimal had between the wicket.

I'd just pick him ahead of PJ. Chanders is a good keeper and you'd get a lot more out of Chanders.

I'd only pick someone like PJ if the side has an average keeper or something.

I can just tell that they're going to overuse this 9360 thing. It was great in that little highlight package for the runout because, well, there's different angles which need to be seen.

Everything else is just useless. Yeah, I really need a beam of light from the heavens to show Wade about to take a catch, or some ring of red dots around the stumps to show there's about to be a chop on. Gimmicky ****.

Yeah, right now he adds another dimension to their team ahead of PJ. Isn't a poor keeper either.

But, i guess long term they see him as a specialist batsman.

I thought that the LBW that was turned down by the DRS should have been out. I can't believe it went to umpires call. #twohourslate
