I can't stand it when people think Jesse's "natural game" is to go out and hit everything. It's never been that.
His natural game is to simply enjoy his cricket. He likes batting and he doesn't need to be slogging to enjoy it.

Yeah. Seemed a bit patronising. I have not much of an idea about Jesse's motivations etc. but to think he finds batting 'normally' to be too complicated or mind-cluttering is patronising of him.

Jesse's actually bought into the Murray Deaker "he's like me; he can really only play one way, the kneejerk way. Stress and scrutiny will trigger a relapse" line of thought himself, which is the worst part.
Basically telling Paris Hilton "sorry, you're singing without any conviction on this track. I think your true calling was porn right from the start", to the point she actually concurs and makes the switch.

Just caught today's scores. Can anyone tell me if Nick Beard is going to be playing again soon. Today was the sort of day he tended to perform pretty well in the past couple of seasons and it looks like Otago are missing him.
