So... Nathan Lyon??

Very concerning that he's had a few chances to make an impact on the final day of test matches and can't.

My boi Usman Qadir needs to get citizenship ASAP.

Yeah was just thinking this, bit of a concern given that this is about as good as he'll get short of a dry subcontinent turner. Possibility of all-pace at Melbourne? Though assuming Clarke can't bowl that's probably unlikely.

Burgey won't like this, keeps telling us Lyon is better than Swann.

Does appear to have done a bit of a Hauritz at Cardiff for you and buckled under expectation on day 5. Thing is is he good enough to learn from this and become a better bowler in the future and a matchwinner or will he remain the same and flatter to deceive on the big occasion?

Another thing, if you do get rid of him, who replaces him? Hardly got a load of spinners banging the door down demanding to be selected have you.

I think he's just inexperienced. Needs to settle down and just bowl, without letting the whole "I have to bowl them out on a 5th day deck" mentality get to him.

Yeah, and of those 12 4th innings wickets 7 were at Adelaide and he couldn't even manage a 5 in either Adelaide test on the best track he can get in Australia. In his defence though he hasn't got a big first class career behind him so is basically learning the game at the highest level, tough ask for anyone but particularly a supposed matchwinning spinner.

Swann's record in Australia is considerably worse than Lyons itbt.

Australia isn't a good place to bowl finger spin, so should we bother when we have Clarke?

He is better than Swann. Swann is easily the most overhyped cricketer on the planet. I'd play him with a stick of celery if he wasn't bowling in a moon crater. Has a big chin and leads with it with his idiotic gobby attitude too.

Nice trolling mate, Lyon is ****, I'd rather have Hauritz back.

Missed stumping and dropped catch didn't help the look of his raw stats.

Well I'm ardently hoping they both play in the Ashes series next year and we can compare them I suppose. Swann's the greatest myth in world cricket. Diabolical he's ver been rated the world's best spinner.
