I would rather err on the side of being too close where you can at least get your hand on it. Have there been a lot of catches which have gone high and quick in this series?

Anyway it doesn't matter this time. India has a sniff but will need another couple of wickets today.

EDIT: FFS, I change channel once to watch the last ball of the BBL innings and I miss a wicket... concerningly back-in-the-balance here. Can see 5-down at stumps at this rate.

Probably because he bowls so close to the stumps, he doesn't really angle the ball in as much. Makes batsmen think balls are sliding past when reality they're quite straight.

'twas a bad decision, but not the worst one this match or this series. I do believe many other umps would have given that out as well; it was quite marginal in real time, to me anyways.


That ball pitched on middle and off. Baffling leave, did he really expect that to slide past off?
