3 Hundreds in the Tests, 1 hundred in the warm up and 97 the other. Some form he's in out here.

Nice one Cook. Something correct about him being the one to get to 23 ahead of KP.

Setting records all the time then, first to 23, youngest to 7000 and first ever captain to score centuries in first 5 games as skipper which almost certainly will never be bettered.

Just laid off, so I'm in for this basically:

Compton doesn't score a century - I break exactly even
Compton scores a century - I win $750

Happy with my bet regardless. Still gonna hunt Corrin down if he doesn't get there though.
Hunt away.

EDIT: Haha, that's one of the plumbest LBWs I've ever seen. No idea why it took so long.

At the end of the last Test one of the Sky chaps suggested we might now start adding Cook to the discussion for the greatest England batsman of all.

I thought, and still think, that's a shade premature but he is now certainly in the mix as an opener for the all time team to stand alongside Hobbs.

What a man.

Don't care how much cricket they play, to beat the England record for hundreds before he is 29 is bloody extraordinary.

Drat, nicely done Compton. Good knock. Decent start to his career though and a good partnership going with Cook already, can't ask for more than that.

Hard lines Pews.

At least I didn't lose any money. If it happened an over earlier I would've been $150 out of pocket; I laid off at the right time. Losing money to bad umpiring does hit particularly hard, but I'm not sure that would've been overturned with DRS anyway as I don't think that particular zoomed in angle would've been available straight away.

I keep saying this since his debut (and I've always thought he was better than KP even in KP's in form days when people disagree with me) but this kid is going to have some batting records to his name. He's the only person playing right now who I think can seriously beat SRT's record of runs/centuries in Tests.
