***Official*** South Africa in Australia 2012

Well done Proteas, showed a lot of ticker again in this series.

To Ricky Ponting :clapping: :clapping:

The test match South Africa vs New Zealand at Newlands in Jan is going to be interesting for a Proteas supporter : Steyns : 300 wickets and Kallis 13 000 runs

They're private but they're a free to air channel; they rely entirely on advertising rather than subscriptions to stay afloat as anyone with an aerial can pick them up. They're certainly not a dedicated sports outfit.

When they do go to news though you can flick over to GEM, their backup channel, to keep watching the cricket. That's free as well so it's no big deal as such.

I don't mind c9 switching off, I just wish CA or whatever would take up streaming the presentation

****, just realised this means there'll be no test cricket tomorrow, breaking that wonderful streak.

He's got a pretty average bowling average this series.....
He mustn't turn it then if that's the case. Murali didn't turn it in Australia either.

On another note, congrats to SA, far too good in this match. Showed themselves to be quality blokes too with the way they treated Ponting when he came to the wicket. Would've loved to see him make a few more in his final game, but I guess it's a good indication he was right in choosing to walk away. Will miss watching him bat.

Another streak broken

Hobart next week: Aus will field a team without a 100-Test veteran in it (barring injury-absence) for the first time since Jan 1998.

Reckon there's a bit of class warfare between Nicholas and the others? I mean the guy played a ton of FC cricket but no Tests whereas he's obviously a more educated and articulate bloke than Healy, etc. and QLD'ers do love a bit of class warfare....
I don't think that's the reason, I just reckon the others find it hard to talk to a guy who has still got whoever is responsible for hiring him at 9's semen on his lips. The bloke is awful to listen to.

Just like to say I blame Skull and the ABC commentary team for today. Were talking up Ponting, Cowan, Clarke & then Hussey big time before each of there dismissals.

Chuffed for the Proteas. Great character and fight shown to set the last test match up but a lot of hard work was still required on a true pitch but one that gives the bowler a chance as well if you bowl well. The Proteas attack hunted as one in both innings without Kallis to aid them which was a positive.

Got to have a word for Ricky, great cricketer who never gave an inch to the opposition and I think Smith pretty much said everything in how much he and the South African team respected him as a cricketer when we played each other.

EDIT: Apt that another great cricketer in Kallis who has mirrored his career was last to shake his hand on leaving the field of battle.
