So that meteorite that landed on my fridge, rightMaybe Tahir would've bowled South Africa to victory in the final innings...
Surely you could tell I was taking the piss there? So that meteorite that landed on my fridge, right
south africa wins the toss and kallis' hamstring is fineMaybe Tahir would've bowled South Africa to victory in the final innings...
Dude you should see my fridgeSurely you could tell I was taking the piss there?
probably not. just that I got to see a fair bit of today, but not all. noticed him stretching his back and that he was off the field for a while. Think he bowled more than felt comfortable in an effort to get the result and his bowling will be dead due to that.Have I missed something with Clarke? He's injured?
You have a bowler like Mitchell Starc and you still play Hilfenhaus...poor old dougeh. he hit the wall in adl. and has been banished. hilf hit the wall and gets the next test

Yep, and Kallis probably won't be fit to bowl either, which makes it more worthwhile. So that means the same attack as Brisbane basically, assuming Philander is right to play.Rory wasn't that bad in this Test tbh. Almost the pick of the bowlers on Day 1 - certainly the only one to give Clarke any sort of trouble - and almost got SA into a really good position on Day 3.
Enough to make them think hard about playing four seamers, you'd say. Especially given that Perth will be even less friendly to Tahir than Adelaide, one'd think.
Well Elgar is a boring left armer which brings us back to your favourite topic - dropping Rudolph.yeah rory bounced back. i'd look at playing all 4 seamers. however fdp being a leggie instead of a boring left armer actually bites sa here.
Smith said after the game that Philander will probably be fit. What are the chances of Philander playing in Perth? Because clearly Rory and Tahir are no brainers..and if Kallis doesn't bowl..South Africa have got big problems..
I'm sure we would sign a releaselast time i checked he had a pretty high eco fc rate tho. not that promising of a sign.
they need a quiney
For some reason I didn't think Robbie P was in the squad - in fact I actually typed up a post telling you that before deciding I better check my facts first. He's in there, so he might play. I find it unlikely given that it's Perth though; they just won't bother. With Kallis playing as a batsman, there is no way you can possibly play Tahir.. You need 4 specialist bowlers..if you have Tahir..you basically have 3 specialist bowlers..
I hear a lot of talk about Petersen.. I have seen him mostly in ODIs..but if what they say about him is true..that he can hold up one end..then he might be a good option because the problem with Rory is he goes at 5 an over..and that has been the major problem for South Africa..Australia are scoring their runs a bit too fast..
