Loving Monty's more restrained celebs too, ftr.

Wonder if he saw Tahir's effort for the Cowan no-ball and had a word with himself.

Pietersen again showing today he's the most complete batsman to play for England at least since Gower and probably in my life time.

Third ball of the fifteenth over.

Tahir took off running and jumping and smiling like he was half-sharp (as is his wont) only for the third ump to (correctly) deny him for the no-ball.

For connoisseurs of schadenfreude it was a moment to savour.
Had a proper go at the crowd too. Needless to say they cheered hard whenever he came on for a spell after that - and harder every time he got hit for four/six (which was often). May or may not have joined in from the couch.

I think that was the best he has ever played as well.

Just got to ignore all the **** and enjoy it, he is never going to be consistent but that is 3 ridiculously good innings he has played in tests this year, il take that.

Yeah, absolutely agree. No point trying to change Pietersen now; he's 32 (well into what should be the "senior pro" stage of his career) and yet we still get teenage petulance from him like we saw in the summer.

He is what he is; massive **** (massive needy **** at that), but a genius with the bat and a joy to behold.
