Steve - what is the deal with balls going out of shape - is it a real hindrance for the bowler's efforts?
It's just a matter of playing with proper equipment that isn't ****ed. Can either be exploited or a pain in the butt to bowl with depending on exactly what happens.

Oh ffs, this is the first 10 overs, and you can count the number of times the batsmen have left the ball on one hand. ****ing ridiculous.

Betting the commentators are dishing out the fortune favours the bold yadda yadda etc etc. Looks like we could be in for one of Taylor's trademark "look **** until 50, then murder them" innings.

Is there a more productive nervy starter than Taylor around? Always looks dodgy until he gets to 20.

edit: I'd be a considerable amount Taylor would be a more confident starter if he wasn't the only good batsman in the side though.

Kane hit in the goolies. Last time that happened in the Testicle Test Match against SA last summer he tonned up.

I gather this pitch is kinda good for seamers, what do you guys think
Lankans are getting just enough movement with the new ball. Not a huge amount of swing - less than at Galle. Imagine the seam movement will disappear after 20-25 overs but then there's spin.

Nice ball from Eranga. Again Taylor needs to leave those early. Don't think they read Martin Crowe's article
