I haven't seen a ball, being at work all day, but Bombay pitches generally grip and turn with sharp bounce. Completely different beast to say Ahmedabad, and far likelier to throw up the odd unplayable partnership breaker as the game wears on.

Not remotely surprised England picked a ****house seamer in front of Onions, but was expect it to be Meaker not Broad.

Flower's perverse loyalty is killing the side.

Broad has done sweet FA for a while and he has an injury cloud over him. Perfect opportunity to 'rest' him - particularly as he's awful with the new ball and we're picking two seamers.

Flower and the cronies keep going on about how they won't people are not 100%. Then they randomly pick Bresnan on and off, then keep picking Broad as if he was Dale Steyn and Sobers put together. He's been more like Chris Martin lately, without the random successes. You don't pick someone who has been ****e who is at 80-90% when you have England's depth in seam bowling.

Meanwhile all the time the best bowler in County Cricket by a distance is left to rot on the sidelines. A guy who has performed when he's had the opportunity as well as saving Tests with the bat.

Scaly, because England didn't pick Meaker, does this mean that Cricinfo doesn't have influence on the English teams selection?

People don't rag on Scaly too much, his precious hasn't been picked, and "the Donkey" has been the best bowler.
