Am I the only one who believe that this pitch is not as good a batting pitch as people are making out?

It's just skewed towards Sehwag's strengths. It's slow and is spinning; both of which have never particularly bothered Sehwag.
There's been absolutely no assistance for the seamers but there is turn for the spinners. Swann's been getting something out of the rough at least. Ball's not really coming onto the bat as well as Sehwag makes it seem though, agree with you on that.

Not sure whether the footmarks will help India all that much though actually, given that Ashwin tends to bowl much closer to the stumps than your average offbreak bowler, and Ojha won't have any to bowl on to the right handers unless Zaheer goes over the wicket.

Your right, it's not, I'm not really sure why everyone keeps saying its a total flat deck and all, because although there might not be much in it for the bowler its still tough to score, Sehwag's innings and style of play just makes the pitch look better than it actually is.
Suspect England have made it look like a road with the way they've bowled, and Sehwag with the way he's batted.

yep... itsnot got any movement for the seamers whatsoever but looks like the sort of pitch you get in west indies... slow and low... not a cakewalk for batsmen i think

Yeah this pitch looks like its offering more than the pitch in the Bang vs WI match. Swann is going to get through a **** load of overs.

Swann should trouble Pujara. He wasn't very convincing against Patel in the NZ series.
Pujara shows a lot of urgency against spinners and I've never quite understood why, it works at times but lets him down at times too.

geez this guy sure loves to pay spinners doesn't he, always looking for runs against them, regardless of the situation.
