But surely this talk from the C9 boys about morale victories and that AB and Kallis had to lay down a marker this afternoon by opening up, is complete nonsense?
Both sides have won test matches in the recent years by huge totals only to get annihilated in the following test. They don't much do form or even for a number 1 side, South Africa are not hugely consistent. If anything, they should be favorites going into the next test.

The commentators evidently aren't aware that SA can just chuck 9 blokes on the boundary, making anything over 10rpo near impossible to chase.
