I'd take Berhardien over Albie any day.

EDIT: Ingram is an OD bat and Ontong shouldn't be in contention at all, there are plenty of better bats than him playing in the sa domestic scene.

How about du Plessis? Didn't he almost make it to the final test against England if I'm not mistaken? He fielded in the test quite a few times.

Yep I'd say Faf is most likely to get the gig in the actual team; we're just talking about the person who would take over from Faf as the middle-order benchwarmer in squads to come.

Neil McKenzie apparently being talked about as a replacement for Duminy. Not sure that can work what with Neil having a Kolpak deal. Ashwell Prince wouldn’t be a bad selection but Pak tour early next year and Prince would be a sitting duck to their offies. McKenzie also has in his favour being a top player of spin.

Ingram, Ontong and Elgar don't cut it.
Definitely going to be Dean Elgar.

Quality longer version player with maturity and someone who is highly thought of by the selectors and fellow players on the domestic scene. Even though he is an opener I'm sure it will be him to come in.

McKenzie & Prince are yesterday's men. Behardien just no ways and Ontong just no ways. Ingram is limited overs player as well.

I haven't seen the Knights played a game this season.

I think I'd want De Kock in there to keep. FC average is around 60.
Misleading, too many of those games are at second division cricket. Yeah he's the future regarding keeper-bats, but I won't pick him now.

Cant' believe that Ontong is being considered again. And surely Prince would be a retrograde step.
