***Official*** South Africa in Australia 2012

I have a bad feeling that Australia's first XI won't be able to score half as much as Aus A :/

Hoping Aus A don't declare and just keep batting all day.

They just might to deprive the SA bats of practice. Doesn't appear to be enough sting in the SA attack to dismiss them either. Aussie 'A' certainly has batting strength.

Apparently a bit of an injury scare for Watto in Brisbane.

It would be good to see Tim Paine score a century. Only Ferguson is better in this country at the nicely compiled 40.

Peter Siddle is pretty great at it.

Surprised Steve Waugh hasn't said Siddle is good enough to play as a test batsman tbh

Embarrassing stuff this. Should have wrapped it up for 250 or so and now they're looking like reaching well beyond 500. The only good is now Tahir has been well and truly exposed as the absolute pie chucker that he is and we'll drop him for the Tests but even that looks unlikely given that Russell Domingo has said Tahir will play.

After all the kerfuffle in the Ind-Eng Tests, you could argue that the Aus A team's selections have been more of a hindrance to the touring side than England's preparation match.

Would have been interesting if Aus A bowled first.

He really does look better than Tahir at least Amla is landing it with a chance of getting an LB rather about seven pitches outside leg.

the sandy outfield, the chucking bowling and the lousy wicket-keeper. it's like U14's all over again

Hashim Amla bowls a maiden to finish the innings. Says it all really.

Surprised Paine didn't have a dart at a getting a 100.
