Been a pretty lucky innings from KP, but he's been head and shoulders above his team-mates.

If Phangsio doesn't get an IPL contract there's no justice.

It's a lot harder for specialist spinners to get IPL contracts because it's the role the locals have best covered across the competition. There's a far greater need for genuine quicks, and for batsmen who can play genuinely quick bowling.

I realise you probably already know this and that's why you made your post the way you did instead of just saying "Phangiso should get an IPL contract", but I thought I'd make the point anyway. :p

Chris Morris: absolute hero. Will almost certainly play international cricket IMO; I'm yet to be convinced he'll be much chop at the level but he'll unquestionably get there soon.

What other allrounder could do better? There's only McLaren and Morkel in the set up.

Stats show that 4 of the top 5 run scorers in the competition are Saffers.

The Indians realy are sh*t when it comes to batting out side of the sub-continent.

I still rate Albie. But yeah it'd be a bad selection at all - it's certainly worth a go ahead of picking Parnell again ffs - I'm just not convinced he repeats his action well enough to be a successful international cricketer yet.

What worries me is how late he came on the scene. He's 25 and he's only played about 2 seasons of competitive cricket so did he go to school? Was he injured? Did he have consistency issues? Obviously I'm ignorant to it but I can't find anything before the last 2 seasons.

I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with being a late bloomer; he's still got plenty of good cricketing years left in his body.

You talking about Parnell?
