That's why I selected him ahead of a couple of others; they both had similar Test records overall, but had weaker numbers against England and Australia, respectively.

Noble opened the bowling on a number of occasions, and in that era it was common for two spinners or a spinner and a medium pacer to open the bowling. Often it was Noble and a spinner.

Noble and Barnes ran riot.

An attack of Larwood, Noble, Grimmett and Hammond is perfect considering the era of this draft. Another spinner seems right to me.
