You could get hit by a tumble-weed in this thread
Thanks for your valuable input howard00.

Anyway the Sharks season was done when Carney snapped his achillies. They don't have many points in them when he's playing, no hope of scoring enough to win a premiership without him.

Didn't see the Souffs game but from what I can see both teams will be fighting for the opportunity to get put out by the Dogs. Reckon it'll be Dogs vs Cows or Storm in the final.

I know it was only the AFL thread but I can't believe people were ragging on the Dogs/Manly game. Thought it was an awesome match. Only problem was there had to be a winner.

It's rare you get a game where the team you follow is both victorious and knocked out, but it happened to me last night in the Cowboys vs Broncos game.

Will have to wait until next year for WPTB to run around again.

theres a few interesting permutations

manly are gone though

the only ones really on their game I think were the storms

Wish I'd called it earlier but I've thought for a while Manly were just a shade below what was required this year. Just to switch off too regularly and I figured it would haunt them at some point in the finals.

Shame we'll never know because of their injuries. If they bow out next week it'll always be marked with an asterisk.

Really enjoyed the match this arvo, most likely due to the match being played in the sunshine.

I thought Canberra were excellent and could very well topple Souths next Saturday. Manly vs Cowboys is going to be a cracking match. I wouldn't write-off Manly, but I'm definitely going for the Cows now that they comprehensively defeated the Broncs.

the best chance manly will have is to be dog ass scumbags, and they will certainly be doing that

if lyon doesn't play (wont - weak as piss) they will be missing both centres. impossible.

T-Rex into the centres and Whare will move in a spot, it will not be a huge problem, but obviously not ideal. Before the weekend I couldn't work out why Manly were favourites against the Dogs, but now if the Cows are favs, I would probably bet on Manly.

Look I want the Cows to win, but look at their appalling record in Sydney. PLUS I reckon Broncos allowed the Cows to look great on Saturday.

Certaintly not done like dinner Uvel00city.

I picked the Cows for the comp at the start of the year. IMO they have one of the best on paper sides going around. They have the best half in the game, the best starting front row, a fantastic fullback who's in career best form, a backrow that has both impact and hardwork (despite the loss of Tariq) and edges with speed power and experience. Obviously the game isn't played on paper but I reckon they're a real shot this year, possibly the best chance they'll have for a good while.

Yeah I put a huge bet on them not far into the season at massive odds; it's a running joke on another forum that I'll be able to retire if they win the comp. I still don't think they'll actually do it because their defence is poor in a very areas and they inexplicably turn to **** whenever they travel to Sydney, but they're certainly a better chance than the 32/1 or whatever odds I got for them.

They have trouble in Sydney, but Manly hardly bring the biggest, most vocal crowd in the business. If they get through that they won't be back in Sydney before the GF.

I'm sure if it didn't take 2 hours to get to SFS more Manly fans would turn up. It actually quicker taking double the distance to go to ANZ, then SFS.

I'll be there as I was with 15k plus that made the trip to ANZ and made the trip to SFS last year for the corresponding game.

The public transit issue is all the locals fault here as they don't want a train line in the area. But if they had a direct bus to SFS, I'm sure more fans would make the trip across. Anyone that doesn't work in the city is going to struggle to get the game before kick off from Manly.

It is all a moot point as it finals and should go to matches to support our team. But the NRL and SFS should make it easier to access the ground.

Loving the us being written off, was danger going into the finals as favourites.

Burher will play in the centres for Manly and Oldfield will come onto the wing and Whare in the centres. It not Lyon and Matai, but they are all first grade standard, definitely not premiership though. Reckon we can get through one game without them. T-rex won't get moved into the centres. They play K.Foran in centres before him and his brother in the halves.
