Used to play water cricket all the time back in Australia.

Would have a batsman stand there and the pitch would be the swimming pool. Bowler would stand across the other side of the pool and skim the tennis ball across the water. Would zing off. Could face a number of fiery spells throughout the course of an innings.

Gary Kirsten has returned home and will miss the last match of the tour, the final T20 at Edgbaston. Not sure how much he will benefit from flying home a couple of days before the rest of the squad; it might have made more sense for him to miss the T20 series altogether. The forecast for Birmingham is just OK, and there is play in every county game except at Liverpool - Warks have lost out a lot on their internatonal fixtures this season but at least they have the Championship prizemoney to help recoup their losses.
