Is why I offered, only a once off, probs for Dunlop given I doubt you'd have picked him if BFP had signed up 2 minutes earlier. Don't see why it would be messy given all it's doing is making the team balances a little more even...No doubt I'd have taken Kirk if he were available at the time. Shame that.

Sure - others to confirm.[
How about we leave it at 14 per squad, with Loganathan and Kirk remaining undrafted until we get a 45th sign-up? Then the captains work out an agreement about who goes to whom based on team balance.
If there are no major objections to the concept, then I see no harm in making trades optional - again, it will dependant upon agreeance of all 3 parties, so no-one should be left aggrieved by any potential trade.Seeing as Howe picked up a batsmen, I don't see the need for trades as I think the squads are quite balanced now. I only suggested it in the event that Howe's team was left essentially a batsmen short simply because of a timing issue.
However that being said, if trades were to happen, the way you suggested should be the only way it happens.
My only fear is that unlimited trading undermines the process of the draft, hence my suggestion of a limited number of trades.Yeah, let teams trade as much as they like before the season starts IMO, as long as the players involved agree to it as well. Whether it's necessary isn't as much the point as whether it'd cause any harm if every involved wanted it to go ahead.
