We had our opportunities with the team we picked. There's no way we should've lost this match. Batting wise, we should've had a 300+ score. Fielding wise...well we were Pakistan as usual. The match and the series was ours and we gave it away.
You played too many spinners. Ajmal aside they're not that good. Afridi has his moments but today wasn't one of them.

I don't understand how you can pick four or five seam up bowlers, two of whom are left handed and the other three bowl different stuff and it's called an attack with "sameness" about it, but if you puck seventy four spinners it's "variety".

Nah that wasn't the case at all. Seam bowling is absolutely totally ineffectual on a deck like that. Everytime they came on to bowl during the series their was a big sigh of relief from Australia. Tanvir bowled like arse.

Why wouldn't it be?
I used to bowl leg spin in school and when I try it with my non bowling arm stationary, it seems difficult to spin the ball. It just seems akward especially after being used to a more freely moving arm.

Got the doubt after seeing Afridi bowl with a split webbing and he seemed less effective than usual

His arm wasn't chopped off, it had a cut on it. If you don't have freedom in your non bowling arm to the point where you can't get through your action, then it's a problem. Have a cut on your hand would do nothing.

I'm glad all you bois could taste this at the same time so you can all support each other in this tough, tasting time.
I'd rather be tasting this tiny morsel in one game we won, than tasting bigtime nearly every match for the next 5-7 years ****

well I can see where you are coming from, he can be a bit loose at times and his aggression makes him hittable, but considering he will play the bulk of his career in Australia where he will get plenty more from the deck (this series considering heat and pitches pretty useless as a guide) barring injury he will attack enough to get wickets up front against most teams.

Pattinson biggest problem is that the length he bowls in test matches where he is effective is just fodder in ODI's, basically half volleys.

Can get away with that in test matches because you can give him 3 slips and a couple of gullys and back him in to get the edge with juice in the deck. In ODI's you're not going to get that luxury and instead you're going to get drier pitches and players are just going to see full balls and launch him back over his head, like we saw in this match. Then he tries to pull back his length and it turns into short stuff.

He may turn into a competent limited overs bowler, but he's definitely not at the moment, and personally I don't want him tweaking his bowling at the expense of his test bowling.
