mixed feelings, should have got a lead when the day started, but I'll take this given we were reduced to 320-8 at one stage.

Well done Tim, 8/45. Fantastic effort

Good reward for Boult, really deserved a wicket or two yesterday.

So 12 runs first innings lead with more than 2.5 days to go. New Zealand has a strong chance to win this one.

I wonder if Oram would like 'to be at home with the family and my dog right now' to let Boult into our T20 WC squad. Otherwise Hira or Milne honorably withdraw for personal reasons...the glorious rise onto the world stage by Boult.

I am very pessimistic about our batting in the second dig. The last five years don't make good reading. Average of 24.17.

If the Indian spinners get turn and bounce, which they almost certainly will, then our batting may fall like a deck of cards.

Need a lead of 300 to put India under pressure, IMO.

Southee, WAG. Can't see Martin coming back, unless we play four seamers. Even then, surely Wagner has a better case for selection now.

I honestly don't feel that confident chasing a target of 200 odd in the 4th innings, our shaky opening partnership along with Tendulkar searching for some form isn't good. I guess it'll be up to our young guns once again to come good. Would love Pujara to do what he did during his debut test.

Taylor's **** captaincy showing through there. He's the one that sets the field.
The captain sets the position, the players then tweak them depending on the situation. If the ball isn't reaching me at a manageable height then I'm gonna move forward not wait to be told to.

Man that looked pretty adjacent, eh? McCullum was a long way back in the crease.

Would've been overturned on review, surely?
